From the looks of it, Summit Entertainment is going to have a great year come 2011.  Variety has reported the full slate for Summit’s films along with their release dates.  The films include Source Code, Drive Angry 3D, The Three Musketeers, and Breaking Dawn Part 1.   Below you will find some basic information on each of the films

First up is Drive Angry 3D, the revenge fueled action pic starring Nicolas Cage and Billy Burke.  The film, which is directed by Patrick Lussier, will be released on February 11, 2011.

Synopsis: The story centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.

Following that in the spring is Source Code, a sci-fi drama directed by Duncan Jones (Moon).  The film, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Vera Farmiga, will be released on April 15, 2011.

Synopsis: Source Code is the story of a soldier who takes part in an experimental government program and after a train bombing kills a loved one, he is forced to re-live her death in order to determine the assassin.

Batting third for Summit is Paul W.S. Anderson’s action adventure flick, The Three Musketeers.  The film, which is currently being filmed entirely in 3D, has an amazing cast that includes Orlando Bloom, Christoph Waltz, Ray Stevenson and Milla Jovovich.  There is no synopsis yet since it pretty much is just a new, modern take on the classic tale of The Three Musketeers.  Expect this to hit theaters on October 14th.

Lastly we have a film from the franchise that has destroyed the box office on multiple occasions the past few years.  I’m talking about the new Twilight film, Breaking Dawn – Part 1.  The film, which is being released on November 18, 2011, stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, and newcomer Rami Malek.

Synopsis: The Quileute and the Volturi close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven.

So what do you think of this lineup?  Are there any movies pop-out at you that will be going on your 2011 must see movie list?
