Steve Carrell has jumped on board a currently untitled comedy series at HBO from Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses.

The 10-episode, half-hour series is set on a college campus, centring on an author’s complicated relationship with his daughter.

Lawrence and Tarses co-authored the inaugural episode of the series. They also hold executive producer roles, alongside Carell who not only stars but also serves as an executive producer. Lawrence’s executive production duties are carried out through Doozer Productions, working in conjunction with Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. The studio behind the production is Warner Bros. Television, where both Lawrence and Tarses have comprehensive agreements.

Recently, it was announced that Carrell is to team up with Tina Fey for the Netflix comedy series ‘The Four Seasons.’ His recent TV credits include the FX limited series ‘The Patient’ and ‘The Morning Show’ at Apple TV+.
