Currently winning plaudits for his role in Sofia Coppola’s new feature Somewhere (Lost in Translation II: The Road Home), Stephen Dorff has revealed in an interview with The Independent that he’s working on an idea for a script in which he plans to team up again with his Blood and Wine co-star, Jack Nicholson.

Dorff (who wore the producer’s hat, as well as starring in 2008’s Felon) has come up with a treatment which Adam Sandler’s company are onboard to make.

“It’s a very funny comedy idea for me and him set in the South of France. We’re not in script form yet but I wrote the treatment and they’ve already bought it so as soon as I get a break from working, I’ll turn that into a script and I’ll go and tell Jack.”

Dorff’s connection to Sandler is through his forthcoming role in comedy Born to Be a Star (which the  star co-wrote and produced). As both have worked with Nicolson before (the aforementioned 1996 crime drama and Sandler’s Anger Management), it’s pretty likely that this idea will come to fruition.

All Dorff needs to do now is put pen to paper and write the damn thing!
