Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller are reportedly in talks to join the Disney+ spin-off series of ‘Rogue One’ which focuses on Cassian Andor.

If negotiations are successful the pair will join Diego Luna who reprises his role. At this time it is unclear as to which characters Skarsgard and Soller would play. Alan Tudyk is also set to reprise his role as K-2SO.

The series will centre on the Rebel agent Andor prior to the events of ‘Rogue One’ in the early days of the Rebellion against the Empire. The show had been described as a “spy thriller”

‘Rogue One’ co-scribe, Tony Gilroy, is set to write the pilot for the series and will take on directing duties on a number of episodes. Stephen Schiff will serve as series showrunner  Disney had previously indicated the show would debut in 2021, but due to our current crisis, production had to close down after only 6 weeks.

Skarsgard was last seen in ‘Chernobyl’ and will star in the upcoming adaptation of Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’.

Soller is known for his role in British series ‘Poldark’, He also starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘Brexit’ which is now available on Netflix.
