star wars uncutStar Wars has always belonged to the fans, and it makes sense that in a time when Yoda is being pimped out to sell mobile networks and Darth Vader has been demoted to training computer store employees how to do their job the fans have a chance to retaliate, to strike back as it were.

So for your viewing pleasure we have Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope as you’ve never seen it before, and it’s a fun way to spend a couple of hours, marvelling at the range and creativity and oddity of talent out there.

The marvellous minds over at Star Wars Uncut had the idea of cutting up George Lucas’s film into fifteen second chunks and offering creative fans the chance to recreate each of the clips any way they saw fit, with the best moments being placed on the front page of the site.

Now the team (headed by Vimeo developer Casey Pugh) have taken the best moments and edited together the ultimate mash-up and it’s online for all to enjoy.

And it’s certainly more enjoyable than the any of the prequels.
