2014 is nearly at an end, so it feels somewhat fitting to cap the year off with one final Star Wars rumour!
We heard not too long ago that Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars spinoff – which is set to be released in 2016 – may end up focusing on a team of bounty hunters hired by the Rebels to steal the plans of the first Death Star. It was also reported at the time that the Millennium Falcon might end up being featured in some way.
According to a new report (which it’s well worth taking with a pinch of salt for the time being), we may end up also seeing a young Han Solo! The site points out the obvious by stating that filming may end up overlapping with Star Wars Episode VIII, but the biggest reveal is that Aaron Paul is apparently attached!
He may not be end up playing Han of course, but you can certainly see how that might end up working.
The Breaking Bad star tried to enter the blockbuster realm with the moderately successful Need for Speed, but a leading role in this first Star Wars spinoff could be just what literally launches Paul’s career into a Galaxy Far, Far Away! We’ll have to wait and see, but hopefully some official casting news will drop soon!
