We may be getting closer to the end of 2014 but there are some huge films on the horizon before the year is out.
Francis Lawrence returns to the director’s chair for the penultimate entry in The Hunger Games series, based on the immensely successful novels from Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay Part 1 enters UK cinemas on the 20th of November.
We return to a shattered Panem, with the dictatorship of President Snow struggling to contain the fledgling revolution in the Districts.

Jennifer Lawrence returns as Katniss Everdeen, now steeped in so far that she has become a figurehead for the movement and as we saw in the last film alliances are shifting and the Capitol is in great danger.

Lionsgate have gathered a fine supporting cast with a number of crucial additions to the ever growing franchise. Returning to join Lawrence are Donald Sutherland as the President, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are along for the ride as well with Julianne Moore appearing for the first time. We’ll also see a performance from the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman as the wonderfully-named Plutarch Heavensbee.

We’re sure to see a break away from the first two films with a move away from the central focus on the titular games, with a collasping world to explore there is much more for fans of the series to enjoy next month. We will then have exactly a year until the final film, Mockingjay Part 2, will bring an end to one of biggest films of the past decade.

Here’s a new video for you to catch up with the story so far: enjoy!
