We present our interviews from the TIFF premiere of Sound of Metal, the new film from Darius Marder starring Riz Ahmed, Olivia Cooke, Chelsea Lee, Lauren Ridloff, Mathieu Amalric, Paul Raci, Chris Perfetti, Tom Kemp, Hillary Baack, William Xifaras and Bill Thorpe.
The film was co-written by the director and Abraham Marder. In these interviews Ahmed and Cooke talk about the generosity of the deaf community and how they opened up to the filmmakers in order to ensure the deaf experience, as portrayed in the film, was as authentic as possible.
Synopsis:
