When predicting the future of some of the brightest young stars in world cinema, there are few who have the genuine potential to go on to achieve as much success as Saoirse Ronan, and the already Oscar nominated Irish actress (Atonement) now stars alongside Gemma Arteton, in Neil Jordan’s dark and supernatural thriller Byzantium.
Ronan, playing a vampire named Eleanor, who attempts to adapt and survive in a contemporary society, discusses the complexities to her 200 year old character and what it was like working alongside her on-screen mother Arteton.
