Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for season five of its Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning espionage drama ‘Slow Horses,’ starring Academy Award-winner and Emmy Award-nominee Sir Gary Oldman.

Adapted from ‘London Rules,’ the next novel in Mick Herron’s CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning Slough House series, the new six-episode season debuts September 24, 2025, with the first episode premiering globally, followed by one episode weekly through October 29, 2025.

A New Mission, Same Old Chaos

The darkly funny and razor-sharp espionage series follows the dysfunctional MI5 agents exiled to Slough House, where washed-up spies and career-ending mistakes collide. Leading the chaos is Oldman as Jackson Lamb, the cantankerous but brilliant spymaster who knows that in the smoke-and-mirrors world of espionage, the “London Rules” — cover your back — are the only ones that matter.

In season five, suspicions rise when Slough House’s resident tech genius Roddy Ho finds himself with an impossibly glamorous new girlfriend. But when a string of increasingly bizarre incidents spreads across London, the misfit team must connect the dots before disaster strikes.

Returning Cast and New Faces

The acclaimed ensemble cast returns, including Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce. Season five also welcomes a new guest star — Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed.

Behind the Camera

Produced by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith, the series continues under the guidance of executive producers Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Will Smith, and Graham Yost. Emmy nominee Saul Metzstein, who directed standout episodes in season three, returns to helm season five.
