To celebrate the release of the second season of the critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller Silo, which returns to Apple TV+ this week, we sat down with some of its cast to find out about the latest entry.
Based on Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy “Wool,” “Silo” is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built, and those who try to find out face fatal consequences. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will. In addition to Ferguson, Common, and Steve Zahn, “Silo” season two stars Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.
Chatting to Steve Zahn (Solo), Common (Simms), Tim Robbins (Holland), Harriet Walter (Martha Walker), Clare Perkins (Carla), Shane McRae (Knox), Remmie Miller (Shirley) and showrunner Graham Yost, we talk about the impact and success of the first show, why its themes and story resonated with audiences and its real-world reflections and ideas, working with Rebecca Ferguson and Yost, why they were drawn to the series in the first instance, their predictions for the future and much more in between.
