STUDIOCANAL’s in-house genre label, Sixth Dimension, in collaboration with Cineverse, has unwrapped the chilling international red band trailer for the upcoming horror reboot ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night,’ along with confirming its UK & Irish release date.

The infamous slasher returns to screens this festive season, with ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night,’ set to deliver blood, terror, and twisted yuletide cheer when it hits UK & Irish cinemas on 12 December 2025. The new adaptation reimagines the 1984 cult classic in which a young boy witnesses his parents’ brutal murder at the hands of a man dressed as Santa Claus. Years later, scarred by trauma and driven by a warped sense of justice, he takes up the red suit himself — transforming the countdown to Christmas into a blood-soaked series of nights to remember.

As Christmas Eve approaches, a quiet small town becomes his deadly playground, where the “naughty list” takes on horrifying new meaning. Mixing psychological tension, unflinching slasher violence, a touch of the supernatural, and even a dark flicker of romance, the film promises a bold, nightmarish reinvention of the ultimate holiday horror story.

Directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85), ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night’ unites original 1984 producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead with Jamie R. Thompson of New Dimension and Erik Bernard joining as producer.

The film stars Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) as Billy, Ruby Modine (Happy Death Day) as Pamela, alongside Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson.
