Terrence Howard returns to the screen with one of his finest roles in a while, as the owner of a movie theatre in Showdown at the Grand. To mark the film’s release we spoke to the actor who discusses the role at hand, and the stylistic nature of the production, in what is a personal, candid interview with the experienced performer.
Given the film is, in part, a love letter to cinema, we asked him about his own memories from his formative years, and his first experiences at the theatre – while he also speaks about working with one of his heroes, in action star Dolph Lundgren. Howard then looks ahead, and addresses his own future in the industry, and whether or not he still plans to retire.
