See Some of WETA’s Incredible Work on Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I didn’t really understand the shoehorning of the ‘Planet of the’ into the already titled Rise of the Apes but now I do – seeing that logo does evoke a strange nostalgic connetion to the original films.

Though it’s a more of a mouthful to say the Rupert Wyatt directed prequel will benefit not only from a great cast heading by James Franco and Freida Pinto joining Brian Cox and Tom Felton but also from those geniuses at WETA, who have released the very first clip of their work on the film via the official Facebook page.

It’s short, but in this brief glimpse we see how far things have come for WETA since Gollum first hacked and coughed onto the big screen in The Two Towers.
