Last week, we debuted the first image of Meryl Streep as The Iron Lady after it was sent over to us by the PR company. Now, The Sun has caught Streep filming her movie and got a rather nice second image which mirrors that of Margaret Thatcher during the Poll Tax riots in 1990.

The Iron Lady is directed by Phyllida Lloyd who also directed Streep in Mamma Mia back in 2008. Her supporting cast is rather impressive and includes Jim Broadbent as Denis Thatcher, Richard E Grant, Olivia Colman, Nicholas Farrell, Susan Brown, Roger Allam, Anthony Head and John Sessions.

Plot: THE IRON LADY tells the compelling story of Margaret Thatcher, a woman who smashed through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world. The story concerns power and the price that is paid for power, and is a surprising and intimate portrait of an extraordinary and complex woman.

Check out the new image below which comes courtesy of The Sun along with the original image from 1990 showing the original ‘Iron Lady’ herself!

Got asked to remove these but head over to The Daily Mail or The Sun to view
