Even though Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and his trusted partner Maria Hill, played by Cobie Smulders, vanished into thin air in Avengers: Infinity War; the characters are set to return in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The sequel will be relocating Peter Parker out of New York and placing him firmly on English soil. Though further plot details are being kept under wraps. However, the follow-up to Spider-Man: Homecoming is said to be set after Avengers 4 aka Infinity War part 2.

Along with Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker, Michael Keaton will be returning to his role as Vulture. Also set to return are Zendaya and Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori. Jake Gyllenhaal finally enters the comic book universe taking on the role of the villain Mysterio.

In what capacity the Fury and Hill will be returning to is anyone’s guess at this stage. Coming back from the dead almost seems like an impossible task for the mightiest of heroes but this isn’t just your normal, run of the mill band of heroes. Could Fury be stepping into the void of mentor for the young Peter Parker with Ironman aka Tony Stark out of the picture? With no idea how these characters are going to come back from the dead, its anyone guess right now.

Jon Watts will also be returning to direct from a script by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing for Marvel and Sony.

The movie is currently filming in Europe and is set for a July 2019 release.
