A brutal roadside abduction leads to a terrifying ordeal in which Noomi Rapace’s single mother Renee has to escape her captors. This is the hook on which writer/director Steven Shainberg hangs his fifth feature film.

There’s a new clip and a first look at the UK poster for Rupture today, which opens here in the UK on the 4th of November. This looks like a neat chance of pace for the Secretary director whose last film was 2006’s Fur, a fictional account of the life of photographer Diane Arbus with Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr.

Appearing with Rapace in support are Peter Stormare, Kerry Bishé, Michael Chiklis and Lesley Manville.

Here’s the clip, which is pretty harrowing – the clip’s title gives you an idea of what’s in store.

And here’s the new UK Poster which is also harrowing, but only if arachnophobia and claustrophobia are things you don’t enjoy.
