There’s no denying that the cast for upcoming psychological thriller The Loft is immense: Karl Urban, James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, Eric Stonestreet, and Matthias Schoenaerts star as the five male leads, with Isabel Lucas, Rhona Mitra, and Rachael Taylor starring opposite them.

The first trailer and images have gone online, and the trailer is rather red-band, and very promising.

“Five friends who share a loft for their extramarital affairs begin to question one another after the body of an unknown woman is found in the property.”

Belgian director Erik Van Looy is behind the camera, directing this English-language remake of his own 2008 film, Loft, with the new script by Wesley Strick (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Cape Fear).

Though there’s no release date yet set, Dark Castle have already acquired US distribution rights, and hopefully we’ll be seeing the film on the big screen here in the UK, too. It sounds like a great premise for a thriller, and the cast is incredible, and should show us a different side to a number of them, contrasting quite a few of their usual roles.

One final warning/reminder: It is an R-rated trailer, with a fair frequency of nudity, so definitely not one to watch if you’re reading this at work. For everyone else, enjoy this great first look at the film. And as usual, you can click the images to enlarge.
