I vaguely miss the time when casting updates about Matthew Vaughn’s 60s set X-Men: First Class were thrust up onto the internet daily, and while the main cast have long been known (click here for the fairly exhaustive list of updates) there’s still a few names making their way out into the open.
Step forward Ray Wise, familiar to millions as Leland Palmer in David Lynch’s sublime Twin Peaks, Wise was more recently seen fronting the devilish comedy drama Reaper on US TV. Wise spoke to IGN and confirmed his role in the film,
I’m playing the Secretary of State of the United States. I’ll be going over there in the next couple of weeks.

So, that’s probably it for casting for Vaughn’s film, and lets be honest – who’s going to top Ray Wise?
