Ray Winstone is set to lead Prime Video’s brand-new action-comedy series ‘Danger Money,’ with British TV legends Alex Kingston and Iain Glen among the latest cast additions.
Winstone (The Gentlemen, Damsel, Sexy Beast) stars as Alan ‘Razor’ Sharp, a former SAS operative whose life was shattered by a botched mission in the 1990s that left his reputation in tatters and his best friend dead. Decades later, Razor is still haunted by the events of the past while desperately attempting to rebuild his relationship with his daughter.
Now, an old friend, played by Sean Pertwee (The Siege, Gotham, Dog Soldiers), resurfaces with a job that Razor simply cannot refuse. His decision sends him to Italy, where what begins as a lucrative opportunity quickly spirals into a dangerous conspiracy.
Razor soon finds himself on the run alongside a motley crew that includes his impulsive ‘nephew’ Jamaal, played by rising star Arian Nik (Count Abdulla, Daddy Issues, Film Club), and the secretive Roxy, played by Alex Kingston (A Discovery of Witches, Doctor Who, Douglas is Cancelled).

As the group becomes embroiled in a violent conspiracy involving hidden war spoils, corrupt institutions and powerful enemies determined to keep the past buried, Razor is forced to confront the truth behind the mission that destroyed his life.
Kara Tointon (The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping) will play Maggie, Razor’s onscreen daughter, while Oliver Maltman (Red Eye, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth), who also serves as a co-creator and co-writer on the series, plays Maggie’s partner, Gavin.
Mimi Keene (Sex Education, Towards Zero) joins the ensemble as the mysterious Ana, while Iain Glen (Game of Thrones, Jack Taylor, Resident Evil) will play a friend from Razor’s younger days.
The ensemble is rounded out by Sean Pertwee, alongside the previously announced Winstone.
Written by David Crow and Oliver Maltman, ‘Danger Money’ is being produced by Two Brothers Pictures, the company behind ‘The Assassin,’ ‘The Tourist,’ ‘Fleabag’ and ‘Boat Story,’ in association with All3Media International.
Filming has now commenced on location in Malta, with the series promising a high-octane mix of action, comedy, conspiracy and adventure.
