We all knew it was coming, and now we have the very first look at the return of Johnny Lawrence and Daniel Larusso in Cobra Kai – The Karate Kid saga continues.
The sequel, titled Cobra Kai, will be a ten episode series, each 30 minutes in length, set thirty years after the original which will see Johnny Lawrence (Willam Zabka) down on his luck and seeking redemption by reopening the Cobra Kai karate dojo in which he learnt his killer moves which couldn’t quite defeat Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio).
While Daniel has grown into a successful man, he misses the guidance of late mentor Mr Miyagi and with news of Johnny reopening the dojo, old wounds are reopened setting the two men against each other once again.
Harold & Kumar creators Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg will be taking the helm on the Sony Pictures Television Studios and Overbrook Entertainment series. Hot Tub Time Machine scribe will be penning the series alongside Hurwitz and Schlossberg who will also serve as executive producers alongside James Lassiter and Caleb Pinkett.
