Movieweb have premiered the official debut poster for It’s Kind of a Funny Story. It comes almost a week after we showed you the first full-length trailer for the comedy-drama.

It’s Kind of a Funny Story was directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who were responsible for the quirky drama Half Nelson, and stars Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts, Keir Gilchrist, Viola Davis, Lauren Graham, Adrian Martinez, Zoë Kravitz and Aasif Mandvi.

Synopsis: Stressed out from the demands of being a teenager, 16-year-old Craig (Gilchrist) checks himself into a mental health clinic. There he learns that the youth ward is closed and finds himself stuck in the adult ward. One of the patients, Bobby (Galifianakis), soon becomes both Craig’s mentor and protege. Craig is also drawn to another 16-year-old, Noelle (Roberts). With a minimum five days’ stay imposed on him, Craig is sustained by friendships on both the inside and the outside as he learns more about life, love, and the pressures of growing up.

From the trailer, synopsis and now the new poster, It’s Kind of a Funny Story is shaping up to be one of the better comedies of 2010. And, with the directing talent of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck combined with Zach Galifianakis and Emma Roberts’ acting talent, it’s sure to take a lot of viewers by surprise with it’s funny, yet serious subject matter.
