Sony Pictures UK has unveiled the final trailer for ‘Project Hail Mary,’ offering a glimpse at the high-stakes sci-fi adventure that sends Ryan Gosling to the farthest edges of the cosmos on a mission to save Earth.
The film follows science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling), who awakens aboard a spacecraft light-years from home with no memory of who he is or how he arrived there. As fragments of his past slowly return, Grace realises he is humanity’s final gamble against extinction, tasked with solving the mystery of a strange substance that is causing the sun to fade.
Armed with ingenuity, scientific curiosity, and a willingness to improvise in the most impossible circumstances, Grace begins piecing together a solution that could restore life to Earth. Yet the journey becomes more than a solitary battle for survival when an unexpected friendship emerges, hinting that even in the silent vastness of space, hope can echo back.
Directed by the filmmaking duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, ‘Project Hail Mary’ also stars Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, and Milana Vayntrub.
