Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for ‘Prima Facie,’ the gripping courtroom drama starring Cynthia Erivo, ahead of its exclusive UK and Irish cinema release on November 13.
Directed by Susanna White, ‘Prima Facie’ follows a young and ambitious trial lawyer who has built a formidable reputation navigating the ruthless London court system. Played by Erivo, she is an exceptional defence barrister who appears almost unbeatable in the courtroom, including when representing men accused of sexual assault.
But as her career reaches new heights, a life-altering event forces her to confront the very judicial system that has shaped her identity and question everything she once believed about justice.
The new trailer offers a glimpse of Erivo as her character finds herself on the other side of the legal system she has spent her career defending. As professional confidence gives way to personal turmoil, the film promises an intense exploration of justice, belief and the difficult realities of the courtroom.
Joining Cynthia Erivo in the cast are Daniel Ings, Toheeb Jimoh and Noma Dumezweni.
