So, you got yourself a nice new PlayStation, and probably completed the games you bought at launch. What you need is some free stuff to keep you busy until the next wave of Vita games get released.

Well, today is your lucky day. PS Vita is set to get three free apps, the first of which, Paint Park is available right now.

Paint Park is your typical run of the mill drawing program that uses the Vita’s front screen and rear touch pad to let you paint your masterpieces, or paint over some photos you have taken as it has camera support two.

The other apps that will be available are Treasure Park and Wake Up Call. Treasure park will allow you to create your own puzzles  and then send them to your friends. It also uses the neat near and 3Gs features so you can share them when you are in the big outside world (what’s that?)

Lastly is Wake up Call, perhaps the strangest of all apps. WuC is essentially an alarm clock that syncs up to other PS Vita users. Not only that, there are awards handed out for the people who pass the challenges provided by the app. You flair for jumping out of bad a soon as the alarm goes off will finally be put to good use.

No dates have been set for Treasure Park and Wake Up Call.
