Amazon MGM has unveiled the trailer for ‘Play Dirty,’ a sharp, stylish action-thriller directed by Shane Black (The Nice Guys, Iron Man 3). Starring Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Rosa Salazar, Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane, and Tony Shalhoub, the film brings Richard Stark’s legendary Parker novels roaring back to life with grit, wit, and plenty of firepower.
At the centre of the story is Parker (Wahlberg), an expert thief with ice in his veins and a code all his own. When he assembles a crew—including the unpredictable Grofield (Stanfield) and the razor-sharp Zen (Salazar)—for the biggest heist of his career, what looks like the perfect score quickly spirals into chaos. The team soon finds themselves in a bloody collision course with the New York mob, testing loyalties, survival skills, and Parker’s relentless drive to stay one step ahead.
The trailer teases Shane Black’s trademark blend of crackling dialogue, pulpy tension, and pitch-black humour, promising a caper that’s as character-driven as it is explosive. From smoky backrooms to high-octane set pieces across the city.
‘Play Dirty’ marks a modern revival of Stark’s iconic antihero, Parker—one of crime fiction’s most enduring figures—reimagined for a new generation with Wahlberg bringing his bruised charisma to the role.
