We’re big fans of comedy series Platonic, on Apple TV+, and so naturally were hugely excited to have the opportunity to speak to its leading duo Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, ahead of the launch of Season 2.
The affable pair open up about what makes their on-screen friendship so compelling, the real-life inspiration behind their characters, and why shows like Platonic feel like hanging out with old friends. We discuss the show’s relatable themes, how it reflects real life in your 30s and 40s, and why Platonic is a love letter to friendships that defy societal expectations. Plus, find out which iconic rom-coms (hi, Nora Ephron!) still influence their work — and why the banana phone case might just be the unsung star of Season 2.
