Ex ‘Bond’ and ‘Mamma Mia’ star Pierce Brosnan, has as joined Dwayne Johnson on the cast of DC adaptation ‘Black Adam’.

Brosnan takes on the role of the golden masked Dr. Fate aka Kent Nelson, a son of an archaeologist who was taught sorcery skills and was given the magical Helmet of Fate.

Johnson takes on the lead role of ‘Black Adam while Noah Centineo plays the role of foe Atom Smasher, a character who can control his molecular structure with the ability to manipulate his size, strength and durability. Johnson taking on the titular character.

Aldis Hodge takes on the role of Hawkman, while Quintessa Swindell will play the character of Cyclone.

Jaume Collet-Serra will take the helm. The story centres on the character who was first created as Shazam’s archnemesis but evolved into a more layered individual. Black Adam will also feature the Justice Society of America, a multigenerational group that preceded the Justice League and so include characters like Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) Dr Fate and Cyclone.

Production on the project is expected to start towards the end of the year/early 2021
