Disney has unveiled the official teaser trailer for Season 3 of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians,’ giving fans their first look at the epic new chapter inspired by Rick Riordan’s third book, ‘The Titan’s Curse.’ The teaser debuted last Friday during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, with the cast taking over the Honda Center stage alongside an army of Artemis’ Hunters.
Walker Scobell, who stars as Percy Jackson, was joined by surprise guests Ming-Na Wen, who plays Hera, and Andra Day, who portrays Athena, to introduce the first footage from the highly anticipated new season.
The official teaser offers a vivid first glimpse at Percy’s relentless quest to find Annabeth, while tensions with the Titans continue to escalate. The footage also introduces several new characters and hints at the increasingly dangerous path awaiting Percy and his fellow demigods.
This time around, the adventure feels bigger, darker and far more perilous. With the Great Prophecy looming over Olympus, every decision carries consequences, and the fate of the gods may ultimately rest on the shoulders of a single demigod.
The story finds Percy facing the sudden disappearance of Annabeth and the terrifying implications of the Oracle of Delphi’s Great Prophecy. According to the prophecy, one demigod child of the “Big Three” is destined either to raise Olympus to unprecedented heights or bring it crashing down into ruin, with their own life hanging in the balance.
That prophecy puts Percy on a collision course with forces far beyond anything he has encountered before, setting the stage for what looks to be the series’ most ambitious season yet.
