The Little Miss Sunshine star will play opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who headlined Johnson’s debut feature, Brick), Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt in Johnson’s intriguing sci-fi film.
The film is set in a near future and involves a group of contract killers (called Loopers) who work for a crime syndicate and send the bodies of their victims back in time, to discard of any evidence.
The actor also has roles in two upcoming films which also see him straddling the line between independent feature and more obviously crowd-pleasers. He’s in Kelly (Wendy and Lucy) Reichhardt’s Meek’s Cutoff and one of next summer’s most anticipated box office big-hitters – Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens.
