After years of living with the Brown family in London, Paddington finally embarks on a long-awaited trip back to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. It’s a reunion filled with joy and nostalgia as Paddington eagerly shares stories of his life in England, showing just how much he has grown and the new family he has found.

HeyUGuys spoke to actors Ben Whishaw (the voice of Paddington), Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin (Judy and Jonathan Brown), Carla Tous (Gina Cabot), producer Rosie Alison and director Dougal Wilson about their experience working on the film. 

Ben Whishaw expressed his excitement about bringing Paddington to Peru, a country he still deeply loves. He found it meaningful to explore the bear’s origins and heritage, adding a personal touch to this third instalment. Whishaw noted that the film continues its themes of family, acceptance, and kindness while exploring deeper ideas of identity and belonging. Paddington’s journey back to his roots offers an emotional exploration of finding one’s place in the world, resonating with audiences of all ages.

Meanwhile Harris and Joslin spoke about their experience of growing up on set of the much loved franchise as the Brown kids, while Tous shared her excitement about appearing alongside Antonia Banderas in the film. 

Elsewhere, director Dougal Wilson shared his feelings and trepidations about taking the reins from Paul King on this 3rd movie.
