We are delighted to share with you an exclusive first look at the UK poster for British director Carol Morley’s neo-noir mystery ‘Out of Blue’.
The film, which featured at the Toronto and London film festivals, is loosely based on the best-selling novel ‘Night Train’ by Martin Amis and follows a hardened female detective on a strange investigation. Here’s the first look poster, courtesy of the fine people at Picturehouse Entertainment.

Directed by Morley, the film features Golden Globe winner Sharp Objects’ Patricia Clarkson in the leading role. We spoke to her on the red carpet for the film last September at the LFF.

Out of Blue Synopsis
When female homicide detective Mike Hoolihan (Patricia Clarkson) is called to investigate the shooting of leading astrophysicist and black hole expert, Jennifer Rockwell (Mamie Gummer), she is affected in ways she struggles to comprehend.
‘Out of Blue’ is a neo-noir detective story, a metaphysical mystery revolving around contemporary New Orleans and the mysteries of the universe, in which Mike’s quest for the truth destabilizes her view of the world, and herself.
