We already knew that Harrison Ford was set to return alongside other original cast members Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII, but a new report has shed some light on exactly how much of a role Han Solo will play in the highly anticipated Return of the Jedi sequel.

According to Deadline, Ford will have a “gigantic” part to play in Star Wars Episode VII, meaning that it’s likely we’ll see him as Solo once again piloting the Millennium Falcon!

However, the report goes on to confirm that Adam Driver (Tracks) and John Boyega (Attack the Block) are both still in the running for key roles and also again bring up the name of Maisie Richardson-Sellers, the unknown Oxford-trained actress who was recently linked with possibly the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s granddaughter.

Perhaps the biggest piece of news though is that Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaacs is in the running for a major role in Star Wars Episode VII, although there is of course currently no word on who he – or anyone else listed here – will be playing.

With a table read reportedly taking place with the cast in London tomorrow, expect to hear some sort of official announcement very soon! Next Monday, May 4th, a.k.a. Star Wars Day, seems like a safe bet!
