Universal Pictures has released the eerie teaser trailer for ‘Obsession,’ a supernatural romantic thriller that twists the notion of “be careful what you wish for.” Written and directed by Curry Barker, the film follows a hopeless romantic whose longing for love opens the door to something far more sinister.
At the centre of the story is a mysterious artefact known as the “One Wish Willow.” When the protagonist, desperate to win the heart of his crush, impulsively breaks the enchanted object, his wish appears to come true. But as the teaser hints, the gift quickly turns into a curse. What begins as a dreamy, whirlwind romance spirals into paranoia, dread, and unsettling consequences that suggest some desires are meant to remain unfulfilled.
Michael Johnston leads the cast, joined by Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, and Megan Lawless.
