Now You See Me has long been one of my most anticipated movies of the year, sitting nicely alongside the likes of Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, and Fast and Furious 6 as a different blend of summer blockbuster.
Led by an all-star cast, we’ve seen nothing but good things from the movie so far, with the latest trailer continuing to suggest it’s a must-see affair. And with its US release date on the horizon at the end of the month, Summit have released a great first TV spot.
NOW YOU SEE ME pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against “The Four Horsemen”, a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists.
“The Four Horsemen” pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco star as the magician quartet, The Four Horsemen. And starring opposite them is Mark Ruffalo, Mélanie Laurent, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman, making for an immense line-up.
Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, Clash of the Titans) is directing from a script by Boaz Yakin (Prince of Persia), newcomer Edward Ricourt, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (co-writers on Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol), and Ed Solomon (Men in Black).
Now You See Me will be hitting theatres in the US on May 31st, with its UK release date set for a little later on 3rd July. Whilst we eagerly await its arrival, here’s the first TV spot to help get you in the mood.
