Universal Pictures has unveiled the first teaser trailer for ‘Not Alone,’ a charming new animated adventure that blends romance, sci-fi and comedy with an adorable trio of runaway aliens. Featuring an impressive voice cast led by Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez, the film is set to arrive in UK and Irish cinemas in Spring 2027.

At the heart of ‘Not Alone’ is Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic whose quiet routine is upended when he meets Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist working on the world’s first plant-powered rocket. While the pair immediately feels a connection, neither is particularly skilled at romance.

Things become even more chaotic after three tiny alien fugitives, Dunk, Welly and Shirm, secretly take refuge in Joe’s home. Fleeing from the determined but hopelessly incompetent interplanetary officer Zandro, the lovable trio believe Fran’s revolutionary rocket could finally provide them with a way back home.

Timothée Chalamet voices Joe in his first-ever feature-length animated film, while Selena Gomez stars as Fran. The mischievous alien trio are voiced by acclaimed British comedians Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan and Jamie Demetriou, with Brett Goldstein lending his voice to the persistent Officer Zandro.

The supporting voice cast also includes Academy Award winner Allison Janney and Emmy winner Lamorne Morris.

‘Not Alone’ is directed by Eric Guillon, co-director of ‘Despicable Me 3’ and the celebrated character designer behind both the ‘Despicable Me’ and ‘Minions’ franchises. He is joined by co-directors Claire Dodgson, editor of ‘The Lorax,’ ‘Minions and Despicable Me 3,’ and Jonathan Del Val, co-director of ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ and ‘The Secret Life of Pets 2.’
