Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be heading back into theatres in the coming weeks in Premium Rush, coming off the back of a brilliant performance in The Dark Knight Rises, currently still storming box offices across the globe.
After catching a new featurette for the film earlier in the week, we’ve now got a new TV spot to share, showcasing plenty of the awesome action and stunts we have to look forward to.
“Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies, open doors, and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day’s work for Wilee, the best of New York’s agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie — super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and suicidal nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic.
But a guy who’s used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when a routine delivery turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan. When Wilee picks up his last envelope of the day on a premium rush run, he discovers this package is different. This time, someone is actually trying to kill him.”
Gordon-Levitt stars opposite the great Michael Shannon, Dania Ramirez, Jamie Chung, and Aasif Mandvi, with David Koepp (Spider-Man) directing from a script he co-wrote with John Kamps (Ghost Town).
Premium Rush will be released in the US next Friday, 24th August, before coming to the UK a little later on 14th September. We’ll then all be getting Looper shortly after on 28th September, which we’re also incredibly looking forward to. It’s going to be a good few weeks.
