Here’s a great new batch of images released by 20th Century Fox for Cameron Crowe’s new movie, We Bought a Zoo. They come via USA Today and really give us a sense of what we can expect from this family movie which is set to hit cinemas in both the US and UK around Christmas.
It stars Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Elle Fanning, Carla Gallo, Thomas Haden Church, Angus Macfadyen and is based on the true story of a father (Damon) who moves his young family to the countryside in in Southern California to renovate and re-open a struggling zoo.
Head over to USA Today for a full set of interviews with the main cast and Crowe himself. I have said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a sucker for these animal related movies and I have a feeling I’m going to like this one!

Matt Damon’s Benjamin Mee faces off with Spar, an elderly tiger who is giving up on life.
Matt Damon’s Benjamin proudly unveils a poster touting the zoo’s grand reopening, which features a drawing of a tiger by 14-year-old son Dylan (Colin Ford).
Little Rosie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) could not be more pleased to be living at a zoo as she lords over the peacocks that roam freely about the park. The motherless girl forms a bond with Scarlett Johansson’s Kelly Foster, who has grown up with the zoo and stayed on as a caretaker.
