Today we’re celebrating James Bond Day around the globe, and it’s been a great day to be a fan of the franchise – we officially heard Adele’s theme song in full for the first time at 0:07 this morning, and followed it up with the first clip from the film.

As the day continues, we’ve now got two brilliant new videos to share – the first, a celebration of Bond’s 50th anniversary, giving us a montage of the classic films, as well as a handful of new snippets from the upcoming Skyfall; and the second, the latest video blog, going back over the years with some of the filmmakers as well as looking at the new film.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Daniel Craig reprises his role as Bond once more, starring alongside a fantastic cast, headed up by Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench.

Sam Mendes (American Beauty) is making his Bond debut behind the camera, directing from a script by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Skyfall will be hitting regular and IMAX theatres on 26th October here in the UK, a date which can’t come fast enough. In the US, it will arrive in IMAX theatres on 8th November, a day before it goes on wide release on 9th November. From all we’ve seen so far, this should be one of the best films of the year. For now, here are the two new videos to keep your anticipation running high. And Happy James Bond Day. Enjoy.
