Netflix has launched a new full trailer for the upcoming comedy series ‘Space Force’ featuring Steve Carell.
The story follows a decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Sceptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.
The series, which launches on the 29th of May, will also get it’s very podcast titled ‘Inside Joke: Space Force Podcast’. The podcast also launches on the 29th and will be hosted by Jimmy O. Yang he will welcome the cast and crew behind the new Netflix series for a 10-part podcast exploring the stories behind the show. New episodes Mondays and Thursdays each week, with guests like Steve Carell, Greg Daniels, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers and many more. You can listen to here
From co-creators Carell and Greg Daniels (The Office), Lisa Kudrow has joined the show to play the role of Maggie Naird,” the wife of Steve Carell’s General Mark R. Naird. Maggie is a Washington Air Force wife who has sublimated parts of herself to her husband’s career for two decades. But as he takes on his biggest challenge, she is growing in a different direction.
John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz also star.
