The first season of Daredevil will premiere on Netflix this April, with all thirteen episodes going live at the same time for fans to delve into. That will be followed by A.K.A. Jessica Jones later this year, and then Luke Cage and Iron Fist in 2016. A team-up for the heroes called The Defenders is expected to follow.

It’s unclear whether the plan is for all of these shows to get second seasons after The Defenders or whether (providing it’s a success) Daredevil for example will have another batch of thirteen episodes next year.

Regardless, like most Marvel projects, they’re all shrouded in secrecy. Daredevil however is expected to tell Matt Murdock’s origin story, hence why we’ve only seen him in his very early black ninja costume rather than the classic red superhero outfit from the comic books. Moving forwards though, and there are an awful lot of moments and storylines which need to be adapted in this series. The Man Without Fear has quite a history.

Here, you’ll find just ten of those which we hope will either factor into season one or further down the line…

10. Roulette

Roulette

A highlight of Frank Miller’s stellar Daredevil run, “Roulette” took place in his final issue. When Bullseye murdered Elektra, the Man Without Fear allowed the villain to fall from a great height, something which left him completely paralysed.

Daredevil then visited his now incapacitated foe in hospital and proceeded to play a game of Russian Roulette with him, all the while contemplating his own value in society and whether or not his actions really do help people. It makes for a powerful read and would be even more powerful on television; handled the right way, it could even earn Charlie Cox an Emmy.

Unfortunately, neither Bullseye or Elektra will be featured in season one (likely in a bid to differentiate this series from the 2003 movie).
