Diana hits UK cinemas tomorrow 20th September and unfortunately it hasn’t been faring too well with the critics (our review is up here). We got to chat with Naomi Watts who plays Diana and Director Oliver Hirschbiegel at the Premiere of the film but our friend James Kleinmann got to have a much longer discussion about what it was that made them take on the task of telling a story of one of the most famous women to have ever walked the globe.
In the interview, we get to hear about the reservations that Watts first had when taking on the role, how Hirschbiegel (the man who has previously brought us Downfall) was very keen to tell this story and more specifically how Watts was able to research the role of playing Diana.
