Nancy Meyers is returning to the big screen with a festive flourish, and she’s bringing an enviable ensemble along for the ride. Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey, and Owen Wilson have officially signed on to star in Meyers’ next feature, an untitled comedy in development at Warner Bros.

Slated for a Christmas Day 2027 theatrical release, the film will be written and directed by Meyers, marking her long-awaited return to directing after ‘The Intern.’ While plot details are being kept tightly wrapped like a gift under the tree, the project has already generated buzz thanks to its pedigree and star power.

According to multiple sources cited by Variety, the film is a version of ‘Paris Paramount,’ the project Meyers originally set up at Netflix in spring 2023. Though the studio has changed, the creative heart of the story appears intact. Meyers previously described the film as “about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do,” hinting at a meta-tinged comedy steeped in romance, creativity and behind-the-scenes intrigue.

Meyers will produce the film alongside longtime collaborator Ilona Herzberg, with Diana Pokorny serving as executive producer.
