Plenty of posters have debuted over the last 24 hours, and despite the variety of visual styles and collision of talent and marketing brief none of them are as bad as this morning’s X-Men posters.
On offer today we have another Smurfs poster, which should have been called here Smurf of the Dead, an eye melting Hop poster showcasing the very best in acid flashbacks, a poster for the Everybody loves Raymond goes to Russia documentary Exporting Raymond, a poster for Beginning which seems to star two Ewan McGregors and two Melanie Laurents, but only one Christopher Plummer, which can’t be right. Then to round things off we have two posters for Hoodwinked Too!, which reminded me very much of the recent marketing onslaught for Gnomeo and Juliet, right down to the ribald Hood Vs. Evil tagline.
