Warner Bros. has dropped a ferocious new trailer for Mortal Kombat II, and it pulls no punches.
From New Line Cinema comes the latest high-stakes chapter in the blockbuster video game franchise, promising bigger battles, bloodier finishes, and a war that could shatter realms. This time, the tournament escalates into a no-holds-barred showdown against the tyrannical rule of Shao Kahn, whose looming conquest threatens the very existence of Earthrealm and everyone sworn to defend it.
Karl Urban leads the charge as Johnny Cage, the Hollywood hotshot martial artist, finally stepping into the ring. Urban is joined by a stacked ensemble including Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, and Damon Herriman.
Returning fan favourites include Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion, whose rivalry continues to burn hotter than ever.
Director Simon McQuoid returns to helm the sequel. The screenplay comes from Jeremy Slater, based on the iconic video game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias.
