Kinect continues its trail-blazing talent of cramming its phenomenal technology into slightly underwhelming gameplay experiences.
Microsoft have released the first trailer for Avatar Kinect. Alas, it’s no super-duper James Cameron-involved motion capture movie crossover, rather a very clever and intricate new service that will bring a phenomenal level of replication to your Xbox 360 chat service.
Using face-tracking technology, it will allow Xbox Live-rs to have their facial movements captured down to the smallest smile or even eyebrow raise.
Again, it’s undeniably impressive stuff, but we can only hope they manage to utilise it in far cooler and cleverer ways in months to come.
