Netflix and Chernin Entertainment have officially greenlit ‘Kennedy,’ an ambitious new drama series chronicling the rise of America’s most storied political dynasty. Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender has been cast in the leading role as Joseph Kennedy Sr., the formidable patriarch of the Kennedy family.
Based on Fredrik Logevall’s acclaimed biography ‘JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956,’ the eight-episode first season will explore the intimate and often turbulent family dynamics that defined one of the most influential clans in modern history.
