Michael Ealy (Takers) will play the male lead in Underworld: New Dawn, the fourth installment in the popular vampire-werewolf franchise.

Ealy will star opposite Kate Beckinsale (Whiteout), Sandrine Holt (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) and Robert Lawrenson (Sanctuary) as a police detective.

Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein will direct from a script by J. Michael Straczynski and John Hlavin.

After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.

A co-production between Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gems, Underworld: New Dawn is currently in-production with a release date set for January 20, 2012.
