In a sentence we thought we would never write, Melissa McCarthy has joined Taika Waititi’s next instalment of the Marvel film ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

From pictures circulating our beloved social media, McCarthy has been spotted in full Hela costume in what looks like another scene played out on stage for the entertainment of Asgardians as previously seen in ‘Thor: Ragnorak’.

Also spotted on set was Matt Damon as the fake Loki and Sam Neill as the fake Odin as well as Luke Hemsworth as fake Thor.

The addition of McCarthy comes after making a plea on social media with husband Ben Falcone to Waititi to appear in the movie.

Waititi will take up the helm once more for ‘Love and Thunder’. Chris Hemsworth will reprise the titular superhero, while Tessa Thompson will be reprising her role from ‘Ragnarok’ as Valkyrie. Natalie Portman is returning to the franchise for the first time since 2013’s ‘Thor: The Dark World.’

The latest instalment of ‘Thor’ is being filmed in Australia after receiving a $24.1million location incentive grant from the Federal Government.
