To celebrate the digital release of What We Hide, we had the pleasure of chatting with the stars of the film about this stirring, heartfelt new film.
After their mother’s fatal overdose, sisters Spider (McKenna Grace) & Jessie (Jojo Regina) hide her body to avoid being separated by the strained foster care system. But with the local sheriff (Jesse Williams) asking questions and their mom’s drug dealer (Dacre Montgomery) lurking, their future becomes uncertain. How far will they go to keep their secret?
Chatting to Grace and Regina, we talk about tackling one of the film’s most emotional opening scenes on their very first day of shooting, how they built an instant sisterly bond—on set and off, balancing heavy, heartbreaking moments with fun, light-hearted scenes and unique challenges of working on an independent film and how they supported each other throughout the process.
We also discuss their continued aspirations in the industry, who they still look up to, and how they have navigated the industry so far.
